It has been a busy few months at the Vogelsang Buildings, and we're excited to share some progress!
One of our biggest milestones came in April when the Ol' Railroad Cafe officially reopened its doors. They're once again serving the delicious lunch specials everyone loves and have even added breakfast to the menu. If you haven't stopped by yet, we encourage you to visit and support them as they continue welcoming customers back.
Another major accomplishment—every building now has a roof! Seeing the roofs restored has been an exciting and emotional step forward. With the structures protected once again, work continues inside. Plumbing has been installed, electrical work is progressing, and the HVAC systems are being put into place.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the many skilled tradespeople, contractors, craftsmen, and vendors who have been part of this restoration. Your hard work, expertise, and dedication are helping bring these historic buildings back to life. We truly would not be where we are today without you.
While we all wish the process could move faster, restoring buildings that have stood for more than a century takes time, patience, and careful attention to detail. Every step forward brings us closer to welcoming back the businesses, events, and experiences that have made the Vogelsang Buildings such a special part of our community.
